COVID-19

COVID19 CLIENT PROTOCOLS, PROCEDURES, & POLICIES

The Three Nurses by Ella Trick
Thank you for your interest in 717 Tattoo & Body Piercing!  We have continued to monitor & navigate the current pandemic situation both locally & abroad.  Upon re-opening we will be implementing new protocols, procedures, & policies at all 717 Tattoo locations.  In the climate of an uncertain future, we will be using this page to keep our clients informed of what steps we will be taking to guarantee you the safest possible experience.

Appointments New & Old
We get a lot of questions asking about new & existing appointments. Our staff has been working hard to re-schedule appointments during the mandated closures. We appreciate your patience. All existing appointments & deposits will be honored. During closure, we are able to offer remote consults, and take deposits online. Please find your preferred ARTIST here and fill out the “request a consult” form on their portfolio page. Your artist can tell you how far they are booked and give you an estimate on when they can get you into the schedule. Once we have a re-open date, we will begin the booking process by rescheduling existing appointments, and then scheduling new deposit appointments. No appointment is offered at 717 Tattoo without a deposit.

We will be announcing our re-open date online, via email newsletter, & on our website homepage as soon as we have a clear approval to open from the state. Any existing or new appointment concern can be directed to our CONTACT US form.

New Procedures at 717 Tattoo
Moving forward, we are following current State, OSHO, CDC, WHO, and tattoo community suggestions to design the safest possible environment for both client & crew. Please understand safety has always been of highest importance at 717 Tattoo, & this is a topic we are approaching as proactively as possible.

We will be limiting the number appointments & clients allowed in the studio. Limitations will vary by location. We will require everyone to maintain 6 foot of physical separation at all times inside the studios, with the exception of the artist procedure. Only clients with scheduled appointments, jewelry or aftercare needs, and those making a deposit will be allowed in the studio.  Minors will have a parent/legal guardian present.  You will be asked to leave if you have other needs.  We will not be allowing any guests to accompany the client getting tattooed. Each client will be asked to wear a facial covering/mask.  If there is not one available, we will have one available for purchase.  If you are unable to wear a mask for any reason, we will be glad to reschedule your appointment.  We will require that you arrive clean & in freshly laundered clothing.

If you have interest in a walk in tattoo or piercing, would like to browse portfolios, or have questions about artist availability, we can still help! Consultations will be done remotely, or scheduled when the studio is available. Portfolio browsing will be directed online. Artist & walk in availability can be discussed via phone during regular hours.

Pre-Screening Clients
Prior to each appointment we will attempt to make a courtesy call and check on your well being & health. We will email a pre-screen questionnaire to all clients prior to their appointment. This questionnaire will cover basic screening questions to ensure that your procedure will not put others at risk. If you are experiencing any type of fever or sickness we will ask that you call back to reschedule. We will be happy to see you when you are feeling well again.

Cleaning Regimen
In addition to the strict cleaning we have always maintained, we are implementing several additional mandatory procedures. Hand washing is imperative, so every client will be asked to wash their hands upon entering the studio for at least 20 seconds with warm water and soap. Hand sanitizer will be readily available. The artists will be required to wash their hands much more frequently. Each studio will have a structured regiment of cleaning, including wiping down common touch areas throughout the studio with medical grade disinfectants. Air filter upgrades & UV-C light disinfection will be implemented. Rest assured that 717 Tattoo will be setting a new standard of tattoo & piercing safety in the wake of the pandemic.

Medical Grade Equipment
Everything that we use will be single use & disposable. This includes but is not limited to chair coverings, clip cord covers, needles, tubes & cartridges.  Our artists will be issued surgical mask, face shields, coverings, and medical grade disinfectants that are EPA confirmed of killing Corona or stronger viruses.

Other Changes at 717 Tattoo & Body Piercing
A surcharge/service fee will be implemented on all procedures to cover the additional costs of maintaining a safe studio environment. We will be also be raising our minimum tattoo price. We never take raising our fees lightly & this will be second price increase we have implemented at 717 Tattoo since 2006. Our client paperwork will now be paperless, & you will be able to complete all the necessary documentation prior to your arrival at the studio. All 717 Tattoo crew will be receiving training from the World Health Organization (WHO) on proper practices with COVID19 in the workplace, to ensure that we are well versed on all the areas of concern. Certifications of these and other staff trainings are on display in the ARTIST and PIERCER portfolios & in the studio.

IN CLOSING
We would like to thank you for your understanding & patience in all of the matters listed above. We reserve the right to change & adjust policy as needed to keep everyone safe & healthy. We look forward to taking care of all your tattoo & piercing needs!
